Brief description: A small, soft-wooded monoecious tree to 10 m. Plants with milky latex.  Leaves are thick, simple, alternate, palmately veined, strongly 3-5 palmately lobed, the blade  broad-ovate to nearly orbicular in outline, rough above and pubescent beneath, margins broadly toothed. Flowers are minute, unisexual, the receptacle usually bisexual. Fruits are a single, axillary, pear-shaped syconium. 

Campus data: Extremely rare on campus. One individual is cultivated.  Not encountered in the wild on campus.
