Common name: Multiflora-rose.

Brief description: A prickly, colonial shrub, with stems to 3 m. Leaves are odd-pinnately compound, alternate; leaflets are 5-11, elliptic to obovate, entire, pinnately veined, margins serrate-toothed. The stipules are conspicuous, serrate and glandular-ciliate. Flowers are perfect, white, fragrant, in many-flowered inflorescences. Fruits are a bony achene.
